"On Tuesday, the Brazilian Association of Jurists for Democracy (ABJD) called for the results of the presidential elections in Venezuela, as released by the National Electoral Council (CNE), to be respected.
In a public letter, the ABJD stated that there are no grounds to question the re-election of President Nicolas Maduro. The group described how the Venezuelan voting process works and indicated that the results of the July 28 elections align with the country’s electoral standards.
“The participating political organizations were able to monitor the expression of voters several times during the election, which made the election results difficult to manipulate. There was no objective legal evidence of any act, element, or fact that could cast doubt on the integrity of the electoral process and voting system,” the ABJD said."
